“Each children’s nutrition or how to control them

“Each
year, 15 million girls are married before the age of 18. That is 28 girls every
minute. 1 every 2 seconds” (Girls Not Brides, n.d., para. 2).

A
marriage usually means entering into adulthood. The decision to select a spouse
cannot be without a purpose to form a family with that person. A marriage is a
serious responsibility because it means a determination of the right partner with
whom a person will be able to spend the rest of life. Because of that, in most
countries, marriages are allowed only after the certain age of 18 that defines
the fact of becoming an adult. This marriage law exists because only mature and
educated people are able to make this serious decision which will affect not
only their lives but also the lives of their partners.  However, in today’s world, there is an
enormous number of marriages in early ages when a person has not reached the age
of 18 and is considered as a teen. There are a lot of discussions made about the
negative impact of this type of marriage on the child’s psychological behavior
and development. In most cases, a marriage leads to having children, but if a
mother is still immature, it may cause different health and psychological
problems of the following generation. They usually do not know much information
about children’s nutrition or how to control them (Campaign Against Child
Marriages in Ethiopia, n.d., para. 5). Forced marriages, which are made without
an agreement of at least one of the partners, mean the early termination of
childhood and infringement of human rights. However, despite of the organizations
and social movements such as United Nations Population Funm, Humanium or Girls
UP, which are against child marriages, there are still millions of people who
actively promote this type of marriage and believe that it has only positive
consequences on children. Possible causes of early marriages are excessive parents’
pressure on children, teenage love, which may be confused with a real love, unplanned
pregnancy or forcible marriages.
